Report on social and gender inequalities in childcare-related policies design in the post-Yugoslav countries

The report provides a brief overview of the development and current state of childcare-related policies in the post-Yugoslav countries. Two policy measures are analysed, crucial from the aspect of organising care for children of preschool age – childcare-related leaves (maternity, parental and paternity leaves) and early childhood education and care services. The report builds on data collected based on the analysis of legislation in five post-Yugoslav countries in the 1945–2019 period: Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH), Croatia (HR), Montenegro (ME), Serbia (RS), and Slovenia (SI).
